Hi: Well this year is certainly a dumpster fire. (Literally and Figuratively) I managed a cruise on Princess Cruises early in the year with my brother but then came the virus. Then I had a colonoscopy with a large polyp found that required surgery. Luckily, I was able to get the surgery (Colon Resection) , but the found a small contained cancer in the appendix which they also took out. 12 days later I am out of the hospital. (Me and my mask). Months pass...I was going on a trip to Las Vegas (Good-bye to that). I had a cruise scheduled for Hawaii in September. That sunk quickly. (Still waiting refund) Try to do another cruise.....cancelled, then another cancelled, then another cancelled. I've given up. Now, of course, I have to deal with hospital billing, etc. I know this is all sour grapes, but I felt compelled to write it out anyway. Still, the weather in Florida have been nice. Sometimes, a bit too much rain or lack thereof. Hope you all are well. Brian Shea Attachments:

Hi Brian! Sorry to hear about your trials during the past 6 months or so. These are the times we'll look back on as "the good old days". (I was going to say that these are the times that try men's souls.... but I think someone already said that.. ). It looks to me like we don't have a chance for a return to "normal" life for probably a year.
I'm self quarantined - with my prior history, my docs told me that I dare not get this China virus. So... not doing much here...but no virus, no pneumonia.... lots of pool time...
My parents were in their early 20's during the Spanish Flu of 1918. They talked of the quarantine and the massive death rates then. I think that was worse than this outbreak. 20-50 million died of that, world wide.
Anyway, as you can see, this board has really lost steam. Mimi and I have tried to keep it going, but we don't even have an administrator. I usually check in every couple of days to see if anyone has posted....
